Hi everyone! Today, I’m excited to share a detailed guide on how to insert follow-me eyes into your dolls. Follow-me eyes add a captivating touch to your doll, making them appear as if they’re following your gaze. Let’s dive into the process and some tips on choosing the right eyes for your doll.
Understanding Follow-Me Eyes
Follow-me eyes come in various styles and colors, and understanding the measurements is crucial.
In our shop, we offer two sizes:
- Anime = 22mm Size / Flat Dome with only 8mm height
- Semi-Real = 14 mm Size / Flat Dome with only 8mm height
Anime eyes are larger, with a 22mm size, perfect for anime heads like Smart Dolls. Semi-Real eyes are 14mm wide, ideal for semi-realistic heads.
Flat domes?
Our follow-me eyes are flat, only 8mm in height, unlike typical acrylic eyes with a dome. They work best with dolls that have more even eye sockets. For deeper sockets, you might need eyes with a higher dome, as our flat eyes might not fit well in such cases.
Like Angel Philia Dolls for example they have a very deep eye socket and our eyes won’t fit these.
How to insert them

Materials Needed
To insert our follow-me eyes, you’ll need:
- Eye putty (I recommend white putty from Tesa)
- The follow-me eyes
- Your doll
Step-by-Step Guide
- Preparation: Remove the wig and head cap from your doll.
- Form the Putty: Create two small sausages from the putty and wrap them around the eyes.
- Insert the Eyes: Place the eyes inside the doll’s head, positioning them roughly in the eye sockets.
- Adjust: Check the placement from the front and adjust to a neutral position. For a more natural and cute look, position the eyes slightly upward.
- Secure: Use a small stick to push the putty further into the head for extra security.
Final Touches
